Welcome to Kansas State University and the Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund. Founded in 1964, the Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund’s primary responsibility is providing funding for Wildcat student-athlete scholarships. With scholarship and operational costs constantly rising, the Athletics Department is more dependent than ever on philanthropic gift income and annual giving to maintain the athletics program at its current level.

Founded in 1863, Kansas State was the first college in America to be officially designated a Land Grant Institution and is the oldest public institution of higher learning in Kansas. With a university steeped in tradition, Wildcat athletics boasts a proud heritage and spirit in its program. With over a century of athletics history, K-State has enjoyed one of the most successful programs in the country. Through the history of the program, Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund donors have provided scholarship support for the thousands of student-athletes who have proudly worn the purple and white.

Each year, through the support of K-State fans everywhere, we are able to provide scholarship support to over 400 male and female student-athletes. Many of these student-athletes at Kansas State receive a full scholarship, which includes tuition, fees, books, housing and meals. Many others receive partial aid or assistance in these areas.

The Mike Ahearn Scholarship Fund has donors throughout the country. While the majority of donors are K-State graduates, many others support Wildcat athletics because they want to be part of providing opportunities to young people. Together, we have formed one of the best support groups in America.
