
Kansas State finished its home season in 2007 with an 11-3 mark, which marked the 12th time in the last 13 years that the Wildcats have won at least 10 home matches. KState is 111-31 (.782) at home over the last 10 seasons and 78-23 (.773) in Suzie Fritz’s six seasons at the helm.
With the 3-1 win over Colorado on October 12, 2002, Kansas State earned its 200th win at Ahearn Field House since the building became the home to Wildcat volleyball in its inaugural season in 1974.
The program has compiled an impressive 254-130-5 (.653) since that season, including a 102-28 (.785) mark over the last eight years. In all, the Wildcats have upset 14 ranked teams in Ahearn since 1997 and have a 52-2 record against non-conference foes since 1994.
The Best Fans in College Volleyball
Not only do the Wildcats play in one of the most venerable arenas in all of college volleyball - Ahearn Field House - but they enjoy some of the best fan support of any program in the nation. Over the last nine years, Kansas State has ranked among the top 15 programs in the nation for home attendance in five of those seasons. Over 150,000 fans have visited the "Old Barn" since 1997, an average of nearly 1,700 fans per home match. The team has drawn over 4,000 fans for 11 matches in that time span, including a school-record 5,287 fans for the team's triumph over Nebraska on November 15, 2003. Kansas State totalled a school-record 31,223 fans in 2003 for an average of 1,951 per match.
